Cosmos Screening a Hit!

Thanks to everyone that came along to the Cosmos premiere screening on Monday night.
It was very well received by all and I was wrapped with the feedback from all involved.

Some photos will be going up in the Gallery soon so check them out.

Those unable to make the screening, drop me a line and I'll see if we can organise a viewing sometime over the Christmas/New Year period.

Fingers crossed for Cosmos to go full steam ahead in 2010.

Welcome to the Cosmos Screening

After 12 months of hard work the Welcome to the Cosmos pilot episode is finally complete! We're having a screening in Melbourne in the first week of December at a local bar/lounge.

Cast, Crew and friends of are welcome to come along to see the 13 min pilot, have a few drinks and catch up with the cast and crew. Snacks available at the venue. Drinks at bar prices. Post a comment on this news item to request an invitation.

Slight delay on completion

Hey all. We're very close to finished now. The final sound mix is days away and we just have to restripe the master with the new audio along with fix up a few little technical glitches that snuck in during the last session.

We're 97% there -- its just taking a little shuffling to get that last 3% finished.

Editing & VFX Complete!

After months of tireless work from myself, Steve, Kelly and Tim, the offline edit and all the visual effects are complete. Thanks guys for an amazing job. Also thanks to Paul Houseman for a brilliant score.

On Wednesday we do our online edit and colour grade followed soon after by our sound mix, mastering, then we're finished!

Cosmos VFX full steam ahead

Post production is coming along swimmingly with all VFX work due to be completed by the end of August.

Shortly therearefter we'll be doing the music scoring, sound mix and colour grade then we're done!

Firstly, let me apologise for the lack of updates to the blog lately for those of you who regularly check out the site to see whats going on.

Things are full steam ahead with post production which is progressing very well.

Some of you from the cast and crew might remember Dean during the studio shoot walking around with his 360 degree panoramic video rig. Well, Dean's put together some of the BTS video which is very cool to watch. Scan the window frame around and you can watch the videos in real time 360 degree view. There are 6 videos in total to enjoy!

The J'Crizan Patrol Ship has a new paint job

Cosmos' Lead VFX Artist, Alain Rivard has given the same attention to the J'Crizan Patrol ship as he gave to Krell's scout ship. The result is awesome looking new textures - cant wait to see these babies in action.

A lot of greenscreen and the acting solo stellar efforts of Mr David Treddinnick saw to a close our final day of production for the pilot episode of Welcome to the Cosmos. My greatest thanks go out to all the cast and crew for what was an amazing shoot. Now begins post production!
